I spend more time cuddled up with my text book than i do with my fiance... that makes me want to vomit!
I hate school.
I just want to graduate.
...I just want to bang on the drums all day!

Isn't the point of college, to teach you skills you will need for a career once you're done? Yeah, thats what I thought. But apparently, not only do you need to have a college degree and education, but you also need to have fulfilled an externship or internship position! Most people want to hire an employee who has some experience, for me that means that I need to acquire some sort of externship this summer. Easier said then done. There are about 70 students from UWO alone that will be eligible for these limited externships available! Now, how is a girl supposed to find time to fill out these ridiculous applications, when I already feel like I'm drowning in a sea of impossibly small type faced texts! Its simple- i don't! I do feel incredibly overwhelmed and feel that in order to be a 'superior' candidate for a position I need to write a really unique and convincing essay. Uh, the only problem is that I suck at writing creatively, especially about myself. College sucks balls most of the time, but I know it will be worth it later. IF ONLY I had won that powerball last night.... I'd be singing a different tune!
So welcome all to my very FIRST post ever (feel honored). I have never had a blog and felt like it was the cool thing to do, so I allowed myself to be peer pressured into creating one. Well here is a little ditty about myself: I'm a Junior nursing student, I get an average of 5 hours of sleep each night (and it is definately NOT because I'm having too much fun), I read about 100 pages a day from various texts, and spend about 8 hours of studying outside of class each day (if that doesn't make you want to be a nursing student what will?) I live an extremely boring life especially during school and an even more pathetic life on the weekends. Like i said I do a lot of school work and I suppose I qualify as a book worm/nerd (such is life). As much as I complain about nursing school, I actually LOVE it! All of the hard work is made worth while when we get to practice some job skills such as injections (which I just recently learned, so if you feel like volunteering and arm or rear end- just let me know ;). Let see, some more about me.... I can't stand cigarettes or smokers (nothing personal, just the habit) SO if you happen to be one don't be suprised when I whip out my little soapbox and give you grief about how you're killing yourself blah blah etc etc...
